Why Core Objectives Matter
Every thriving business begins with a clear sense of purpose. But too many leaders, especially visionary ones, struggle to translate their ambitious ideas into a long-term strategic direction. That’s where I come in.
I’m Olivia Owen, and I help founders and executive teams define their North Star, a bold, purpose-driven vision that doesn’t just inspire, but actually guides. My role is to bridge the gap between aspiration and strategic clarity. When businesses lack a well-defined long-term objective, their daily actions become fragmented, their culture drifts, and opportunities are missed. But with three Core Objectives aligned to their purpose, everything changes: teams gain focus, decisions have context, and energy flows toward what truly matters.
I don’t do short-term SMART goals. My job is to draw out the big picture and anchor it in actionable, strategic objectives that shape culture, investment, and execution across 3–10 years. I believe every business deserves to be led by vision, not reaction. That’s why my work matters and why I show up every day as a champion for bold, long-term clarity.
How I Approach Core Objectives
My work begins with deep, structured questioning. I use visioning frameworks like Jim Collins’ BHAG, Stephen Covey’s “Begin with the End in Mind,” and Verne Harnish’s One-Page Strategic Plan to unlock long-term thinking. But frameworks alone don’t produce clarity, questions do.
I ask the hard, high-level questions: What change do you want to lead? Who are you becoming as a company? What’s your unique value to the market? These conversations invite introspection and boldness, aligning your leadership philosophy, market ambition, and organizational values.
Once the purpose is clear, I synthesize everything into three future-focused Core Objectives. These are not operational goals, they are strategic declarations that will shape everything that follows. And because I work in tandem with the rest of Catalyst Crew, the handoff from vision to execution is seamless. Our Crew builds the strategic plan. I supply the blueprint.
My mindset is simple: clarity precedes momentum. Purpose before planning.
What I Deliver
I deliver a strategic foundation in the form of three long-range Core Objectives:
- Primary Objective: The central strategic aim, your guiding star for the next 3–10 years.
- Secondary Objective: A supporting strategic priority that activates your core purpose.
- Tertiary Objective: A developmental objective that ensures adaptability and long-term alignment.
Each objective is purpose-driven, precise, and structured to inform future planning, resource allocation, and cultural alignment.
You’ll also receive:
- A strategic clarity report (summarizing purpose, vision, and positioning)
- Suggested visionary prompts for leadership alignment
- A ready-to-send handoff prompt for the rest of Catalyst Crew to build your strategic and action plans.
